Dear Friends

Thank you for your prayerful support of the work of Langham Preaching around the world. There is so much for which to be thankful as God does his work among us. Here is one example from Ruth Slater, our Associate Programme Director.

My work with Langham Preaching revolves around a rhythm of administration, project management, emails and Zoom calls. However, at times, that rhythm changes, with the laptop staying closed and being replaced with unhurried conversations where concerns, joys, hopes and memories are shared. During recent travels, spending time with people in diverse situations, I was thankful to be reminded by God that there are times when He calls us to be still and be intentionally ‘present' with others, rather than always being task-focused. As we serve together within Langham Preaching, may we be open and thankful for those times in our service where we can be still and present with others.

Please pray for the work in various places around the world

Liberia: From Monday until Thursday, there is an in-person Level One seminar in Tubmanburg for the 40 members of eight ushirikas (preaching clubs). Pray for the facilitators — Samuel Moses, Michael Clement and Matthew Gonkerwon — and pray also that the participants ‘grasp a deep understanding of biblical preaching as they live out God's Word’.

Bolivia: A Level Two workshop, focused on preaching the parables, continues on Wednesdays in Cochabamba. Esteban Améstegui is facilitating the learning experience for a small group in the Genesis Church. Please pray that the time together will be transformational.

Vietnam: More than 50 people are expected in Dalat for a Level Two seminar running from Tuesday until Friday — with Pastors Vo Thanh Dung & Bui Minh Quang joining Phil Nicholson and Johnny McClean as the facilitators.

Spain: Around 25 people from the Baleares Islands gather on Saturday for a seminar with Andrés Reid. The preaching movement coordinator, Fernando Plou, writes ‘This movement is advancing in a slower way than elsewhere. Pray that God will move and touch the hearts of preachers and pastors to see the importance of preaching formation’. ALSO — Fernando expresses thanksgiving for the national celebration, for which we prayed earlier this month: ‘It was such a great experience. God guided in the biggest and smallest details with such a tenderness and care, that everyone was amazed.’

Thank you for your faithfulness in prayer!
