Thank you for your prayerful support for the work of Preaching around the world. Here are the items for prayer in the week ahead.
Cyprus: After more than two years in the planning, the Forum for Women in Langham Preaching has finally arrived. 47 women from 37 countries are gathering this week in Tochni Village, outside Larnaca. The theme is ‘nurturing, empowering and equipping women for effective service’. Sadly, there have been the usual visa-rejections, but pray that those who are able to participate will be ‘built up together in love as they serve the Lord through their work with Langham Preaching’. Different ones have added their prayer requests for us: ‘Pray that the forum will be impactful with the result that we bear fruit for Christ within our context, increasing in His knowledge.’ (Affy Adeleye); ‘Pray that God will lift the weary and discouraged and will spur us all on to serve Him in the ministry of the Word wherever He has placed us.’ (Sharon Mac Wilmshurst); ‘Pray that we will be united in heart and mind as we come together to share, learn and look at how Langham Preaching can support women in their ministry roles.’ (Ruth Slater).
Lesotho: Level 2 and 3 seminars, together with a Refresher Day, are planned for this week – with Tulani Moyo and Joseph Morenammele as facilitators. Even though they are leaders/pastors, some of the participants have not yet had an encounter with the Lord and so please pray that they will meet Christ through the presentations and in the preaching clubs.
Costa Rica: With Edner Porras and Maynor Aguero as facilitators, 13 participants gather in San Jose for a Level 2 seminar, focusing on preaching from the epistles. Edner asks us to pray that the Lord will ‘give wisdom to enable them to teach in a clear and friendly way.’
Zambia: The final sessions (in 2019) for Level 1, 2 and 3 seminars are spread across the Saturdays of this month in Lusaka. A total of 25 participants are expected. Give thanks for their faithfulness. Remember in your prayers the various facilitators: Chipita Sibale (Level 1); Siseho Minyoi (Level 2); and Conrad Mbewe (Level 3).
Thanks for your prayers!
