Thank you for your prayerful support for the work of Langham Preaching around the world. Here are the items for prayer in the week ahead.
Benin: Forty participants are gathering in Porto-Novo for Level 2 and Level 3 seminars facilitated by Augustin Houngbeme (coordinator), Bonaventure Akowanou, Jacob Djosso, Thomas Otti and Paulin Kpoviessi. Augustin asks that we pray for the facilitators and participants as they learn together and practice new skills and for the financial needs of Langham Preaching, Benin.
Papua New Guinea: There is a Level One taking place this week in Ukarumpa, in the Eastern Highlands, with Willie Toito, Jonathan Inapelo, and Tim Johnson as the facilitators. Paul Windsor joins them later in the week, after doing a lecture series on preaching at the Christian Leaders Training College (CLTC) in Banz, in the Western Highlands. Tim and Paul travel onto Port Moresby to contribute to a CLTC-Langham training day on Saturday, facilitated by George Mombi (a Langham Scholar). Please pray for safety in travel, for effective learning and for a fresh direction and momentum in the work.
South Africa: The Wednesday evening Level 1 seminar series in Lenasia, Johannesburg, has reached their eighth (of nine) session. Please pray for Russell Abrahams and Shearsby Mupfudzapake (coordinator) as they continue to facilitate this group of participants along with a smaller group being trained as local facilitators. Shearsby and Russell are also bringing to completion a Level 1 weekend series of seminars. Let’s affirm with them that ‘God is our success for He is all in all.’
Zimbabwe: A Level One seminar is being taught by Jorum Mugari as a block course at the Theological College of Zimbabwe in Bulawayo. We are asked to pray that church leaders in Bulawayo will take advantage of this opportunity to develop their effectiveness as biblical preachers.
Thanks for your prayers! The Langham Preaching Team
