Dear Friends

Thank you for your prayerful support of the work of Langham Preaching around the world. There is so much for which to be thankful as God does his work among us and through us. Here is one example from Jennifer Cuthbertson, our Coordinator for Facilitator Development—based in Parksville, British Columbia (Canada).

In October last year, an All-Africa facilitator workshop was held in Ethiopia with sixteen leader/facilitators gathered from the four African regions. In December, a second workshop occurred in Oman—this time with participants gathered from across Asia, some from restricted nations. Both workshops offered an exceptionally rich time together deepening relationships, worshipping, and learning from one another. The participants scattered to their home regions full of vision and plans for continuing their development as facilitators and working to raise up many more facilitators for the existing preaching movements and those yet to begin. After an era of no travel and no in-person opportunities, we are all extremely grateful for time eating, praying, learning, and playing together. We did all with gusto! Praise God with us for this remarkable sustaining fellowship.

Please pray for the work in various places around the world Uganda: As an opportunity to refresh the work, a Vision Bearers’ Consultation takes place in Kampala from Tuesday until Thursday. Thirty leaders are expected to participate, with Emeka Egbo and Mercy Ireri as the facilitators. Barbara Tumwine (regional coordinator) asks us to pray that those invited will ‘come and commit to the vision and mission of Langham Preaching leading to the growth of a vibrant indigenous movement.’

Burkina Faso: From Thursday until Saturday 15 leaders of ushirikas (the word Africa uses to describe its small preaching clubs) are to be trained in Banfora. The team of facilitators — Zabré Romain, Nakoulma Wendmi, Asso Ouedui Ernest — is traveling 450km to be with them, at a time of insecurity in the country. Please keep them in your prayers.

Orality Advisory Group: Recognizing the challenge of having so many ‘oral preference learners’ across this ministry, which seeks to nurture movements of biblical preaching, we are initiating this advisory group to assist us. Please pray for Jocabed Solano (Panamá) and Aristide Takore (Côte d'Ivoire), the joint convenors of the OAG, as they bring the group together in the coming weeks.

Global Leadership Team: The GLT is entering its 10th year of providing leadership for the work across the world—and it is preparing to meet in-person later this month (19-26 March) on Bowen Island, outside Vancouver (Canada). Please pray especially that the one final visa will be granted—and for Ruth Slater and Paul Windsor as they finalise the plans and documents that will guide and support the meeting.

Thank you for your faithfulness in prayer!
