Dear Friends

Thank you for your prayerful support of the work of Langham Preaching around the world. There is much to be thankful for as God does his work among us and through us. Here is one example from Esteban Améstegui, our Administrative and Media Assistant, based in Cochabamba, Bolivia.

When we read the PrayerShot, we see many names in bold of people contributing to the growth of our preaching movements. I was very thankful to God recently for having the opportunity to meet many members of the Langham Preaching team from around the world. Now those names have faces, and I get excited whenever I read about the things they are doing! I'm particularly thankful to have recently met Benjamin Stephen (Operations Manager, Asia & South Pacific) and Sandra Abeyie (Personal Assistant, Africa), both of whom are members of the Langham Preaching Administry team. And I look forward, later this year, to meeting Sharon Watkinson, Claire Bennett and Santi Widiastuty, also members of this team led by Ruth Slater. Let's thank God for this group of people whose work can go unnoticed, but who do a fantastic job helping make a lot that is happening worldwide take place.

Please pray for the work in various places around the world...

Sri Lanka: A Level One seminar will be held in Colombo where training will be provided in English and Sinhala. The majority of those attending will be Sinhala preachers and represent 15 (out of 25) districts as well as various denominations. Alongside this, 8 potential local facilitators will be trained separately. The facilitators will be Asif John, Jon Gunthorpe and Michael Thomasraj. Mayukha Perera writes ‘we thank God for the provision of the finances to conduct this training. Pray for the trainers and trainees, that they will have endurance and the ability to grasp and present the material effectively. Pray also for an uninterrupted power supply.

Myanmar: 30 participants are expected to attend a Level One seminar in Yangon this week. Sein Kyi and K Pung Ram will facilitate for those attending from within the local area as well as the Irrawaddy Division. Sein Kyi writes ‘please pray that we will be able to hold this seminar securely as the political situation is still not stable everywhere in our country’.

Egypt: Level One and Two seminars will be held in Cairo for 30 participants from across the country with Youssef Samir and Jan Emileii facilitating. They ask us to pray that more and more people would be called to join the training across all the Levels being provided.

Thank you for your faithfulness in prayer!
